Welcome to Your Intrepid Family. We’re the Cook family, from Ontario, Canada. We’re passionate about incorporating as much travel into our lives as possible.
We are not travel influencers. None of our travel is sponsored or paid for. We squeeze our travel into the limited vacation time we have, and every minute of it counts. We don’t plan our trips around creating content – we don’t have the time to sit around waiting for the lighting to be perfect or for the crowds to clear before we snap a photo, and anyway, we would rather spend that time exploring more of what our destination has to offer.
What you get from us is the unfiltered truth about our own travel experiences, the good and the bad. We tell it like it is when it comes to planning real travel for real families.
Behind the scenes, we play different roles. Carrie conceptualizes many of our trips, suggesting destinations based on major attractions and activities of interest to our family. Chad takes over developing detailed itineraries and doing the legwork of finding accommodations and arranging transportation logistics. Carrie then steps back in with the trip underway as the primary photographer and videographer.
We believe that travel is the best teacher, that it can fit into many different budgets, and that it’s possible to do it yourself – no agents or tour groups required. Now we hope to pass all the family travel hacks that we’ve learned from years of experience on to you, so that you can travel with your family, too.
